Joaquín Aldunate, known as Autotel, hails from Puerto Varas, at the south of Chile and began his musical journey influenced by the piano in his childhood home. He pursued industrial design and later a Master's in New Media at Aalto University, focusing on creating innovative musical interfaces. Now back in Chile after being active in Helsinki's experimental music scene, Joaquín blends improvisation with structured composition in his performances, using custom instruments.
His music combines ambient, techno, and experimental elements, aiming to explore deep sonic possibilities while maintaining a distinctive outsider appeal. Autotel creates for the intrinsic joy of art, offering a unique sound that appeals to both dance enthusiasts and those seeking something different.
